Live Art Society’s PolicyOnEnergy.Performance is a three-year, large-scale project in search for alternative ways to produce renewable, distributed local energy in a fictional near future setting. The platform for this search is a small local energy plot, from which we can derive information and solutions to help us deal with the challenges power generation will create in the future.
The first stage of the project, during fall of 2016 and spring 2017, consists of the first Energy games. In these games, open to the public, specialists from different fields come together to work out various problems and challenges related to the founding of the plot. The games provide a forum for discussion for researchers, entrepreneurs and citizens interested in the issue. The first two Energy games were played on the 11th and 25th of September 2016 and the third one on 21st of November 2016 in Eskus – Performance Center in Suvilahti, Helsinki. The games are scheduled to continue in the beginning of 2017.
